Please read these terms carefully before using Roomora. By creating a profile, listing a room, or accessing the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Roomora is an early-stage discovery tool engineered to assist individuals in finding prospective flatmates and available rooms through lifestyle compatibility scoring. Roomora is NOT a real estate broker, landlord, property manager, escrow service, or tenant verification agency.
Roomora does NOT verify government identities, criminal backgrounds, employment status, creditworthiness, or legal ownership of listed properties. Roomora does not handle rent payments, security deposits, physical house inspections, or lease contracts. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Roomora and its operators are not liable for off-platform financial transactions, property damage, lease breaches, lost deposits, or interpersonal disputes between matched users. Always conduct independent due diligence and offline identity verification before transferring funds or signing leases.
1Nature of Service & Platform Role
Roomora operates solely as a digital intermediary platform providing automated algorithmic compatibility scoring and geographic discovery based on user-submitted preferences (target city, rent budget, commute radius, and lifestyle traits).
Compatibility scores are mathematical estimates based entirely on self-reported inputs and do not guarantee personal safety, solvency, authenticity, or living harmony.
2User Eligibility & Mandatory Offline Due Diligence
- Age: You must be at least 18 years old to access or create an account on Roomora.
- Authentication: We use email-based magic link authentication solely for account login. This is an access mechanism and does NOT constitute identity verification.
- Offline Verification: Users are solely responsible for requesting and inspecting government identity proofs, employment details, and property ownership documents before agreeing to any tenancy or transferring any money.
- Prohibited Conduct: Automated scraping, data harvesting, commercial spam, impersonation, posting fraudulent rental listings, and harassment are strictly prohibited.
3Privacy-First Matching & Mutual Contact Reveal
To protect users from unsolicited solicitations and spam, email addresses are masked server-side on all discovery feeds. Contact information is only shared when both parties register a bidirectional mutual match or when an eligible user contacts a listing host.
4Platform Modifications & Account Suspension
As an early-stage project in active development, we reserve the right to modify, pause, or update features at any time. We also reserve the right to suspend or remove profiles that violate these terms or compromise community safety.
5Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to the informal resolution process below, courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India shall have jurisdiction over any legal matters arising under these terms.
Before filing any formal legal claim, you agree to first attempt informal resolution by notifying our team at roomora.team@gmail.com and allowing a 30-day resolution period.
